2. Information We Collect

Clients: Name, email address, phone number, residential address, payment information (processed by Stripe), job descriptions, photos uploaded for job assessment.

Tradies: Name, email address, phone number, ABN, trade licence details, insurance details, National Police Check status, bank account information (for payouts via Stripe Connect), profile photo, location data, availability, and performance metrics.

Partners: Company name, contact details, API usage data, job volumes, and billing information.

Automatically collected: IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, pages visited, time spent on pages, referral sources, and cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve our Platform
  • Match Clients with appropriate Tradies based on trade type, location, and availability
  • Process payments and payouts
  • Verify Tradie credentials (trade licences, insurance, police checks)
  • Communicate with you about bookings, account updates, and service notifications
  • Send marketing communications (with your consent)
  • Analyse Platform usage and improve our services
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Prevent fraud and ensure Platform safety

4. Disclosure of Information

We may share your information with:

  • Tradies and Clients: When a booking is confirmed, we share relevant contact and job details between the Client and assigned Tradie.
  • Payment processors: Stripe processes all payments and requires certain information to complete transactions.
  • Service providers: Third-party providers who assist with hosting, analytics, email delivery, and customer support.
  • Partners: Where you have booked through a Partner (e.g., property manager), relevant job information may be shared with that Partner.
  • Legal compliance: Where required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request.
  • Business transfers: In connection with any merger, acquisition, or sale of company assets.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Maintain your session and authentication state
  • Remember your preferences
  • Analyse Platform usage and performance
  • Serve relevant content

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Platform functionality.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including:

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. After account closure, we retain information for up to 7 years to comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations. Anonymised usage data may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Complaint: Lodge a complaint if you believe we have breached the APPs.

9. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Some of our service providers (including Stripe and cloud hosting providers) may store data outside of Australia, primarily in the United States. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with the APPs.

Our Platform is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Platform. The “Last updated” date at the top of this policy indicates the most recent revision.
